Perhaps 80% of the users of the UKLII may be using ArcGIS.

I haven't heard this mentioned yet, but yes, let's try to implement it if possible. Appears to expose a CSW interface?  http://webhelp.esri.com/geoportal_extension/9.3.1/index.htm#ext_csw_clnts.htm
