DUPLICATE OF #2548

Currently datasets can only be part of a group but that is quite heavyweight when a single user wants to upload a single dataset. To resolve this it would be great if a dataset could be attached to a user directly - find out how.

We have a ticket for object ownership (group and package) #2548 which will make it much easier to implement this functionality of showing user owned datasets in a 'virtual group'.

Will close this in preference to the other ticket which is needed for other features too.
